Projects
The jobs you are doing, each with a real folder behind it.
Creating one
A project belongs to a client, or to nobody if it is your own work. Creating one makes a folder for it inside that client's folder, with a standard set of subfolders — brief, assets, working, deliverables — so every job is laid out the same way.
You can change that standard set, or seed a project from a template that also creates its opening task list.
What hangs off a project
Tasks, notes, time entries, expenses and invoices all point at a project. That is what makes the profitability figures possible: SoloWork knows what a job earned and what it cost you in hours.
A list or a board, inside the project
A project's tasks can be read as a list or worked as a board of three columns — to do, in progress, done. Drag a card between columns and that is the status changed: there is no dropdown to open and nothing to save.
Switch between them next to Add. Whichever you pick is remembered, per project, so the job you manage on a board stays on a board.
Cards inside a project do not repeat the project's name, which they do on the Tasks page. There, work from every project sits together and the name earns its place; here it would be the same words down the screen.
